During
times of greater economic challenges, it makes more sense than ever to grow as much of one's own food as possible,
not to mention the satisfaction and comfort of knowing where
your food comes from. To
encourage this effort Seven Arrows will be offering a sort of ready-made backyard garden. We will
provide a raised bed frame, fill it with organic compost and loam and offer a variety of both heirloom and standard
vegetables, fruit trees, berries, greens and culinary and/or medicinal herbs to choose from.
Gardeners may do as much or as little of the preparation and planting work as they care to. A
free canning and food preservation workshop will be offered during the growing
season for those who purchase a garden. A 20 x 20 square foot area generally feeds a family of
four, and a 10x10 square foot space yields sufficient quantities for a one or two
person household. Enjoy your own ORGANIC harvest all season.
We'll start with an on site consultation (free) to see what crops are best for your location and then present you with a list of potential crops to choose from - fruits, vegetables, greens and herbs. We'll take over from there.
OR...you can start your own seeds, plant them yourself and care for your backyard farm yourself or any variation that works for you You need six hours of sun a day. Prices are dependent upon size of garden and crops chosen. Call to set up your free initial visit.
